Hello Friends.
The past few days have been challenging for Luke. Chemotherapy often creates queasiness and nausea, and in Luke's case he has not felt well enough to attend school this week. He has been very frustrated and discouraged, because he loves being at school and he really misses it. Yesterday, at about 1:30, Luke received a gift when the entire Mason High School band came marching down our street and performed for Luke in front of our house. Luke was blown away, and it was a much needed encouragement. He misses playing in the band, and misses his friends, and it was a huge blessing for Luke. As usual, Luke's impact went beyond what we could have expected. Several neighbors came out and introduced themselves, and asked how they could pray for Luke. The Superintendent of Mason Schools lives in our neighborhood, and brought his entire staff out to watch. The house across the street from ours was being roofed yesterday, and when the band came down the street the workers just stopped and watched in amazement. One of the guys took some photos from his spot on the roof...I've included one of them below. Luke returns to Grand Rapids tomorrow for another round of chemo. Please continue to pray for his body and his mind to be strong through the treatments, and for healing. We can't stop, WON'T stop praying, for God to heal our boy. (James 5:14-16) God bless, James & Lu, (for Sam, Jay, & Luke)

That is absolutely amazing! Luke is such a great kid. I know you guys are going through so much but it's absolutely beautiful to see other people living questionably in response to Luke and also seeing him do the same. Love to all of the Grangers from the Tonk family. Praying for you continuously.
